Project Eden: a groundbreaking opportunity

Project Eden is a structured programme, launched by the dairy industry to find and develop the technical and operational leaders of tomorrow. It raises the bar in vocational training, setting standards against which all other programmes across Europe will be judged.

Supported by the National Skills Academy, and by Dairy UK (our industry’s trade body), Project Eden asks you to work at Robert Wiseman Dairies and to study at Reaseheath College in Cheshire. This means staying at Reaseheath during the term times, two per year for periods of six to nine weeks over the three years.
Induction on site will start on Monday 30th October and first college term starts 31st October 2011.

Robert Wiseman Dairies pays your salary for the duration of your studies as you learn vital new skills to progress in the industry. Expect to cover the technical and management processes involved in milk production and distribution. You will learn vital project and financial management skills along with personal development in areas such as leadership to help you make your mark in the business.

During your three years on Project Eden you will:

  • discover a real passion for the dairy industry
  • develop the skills and knowledge for a long-term career in the industry
  • benefit first hand from Reaseheath, the multi-million pound state-of-the-art training dairy
  • acquire a Foundation Degree in Dairy Technology in conjunction with Harper Adams University College, one of the UK’s most respected food and agriculture learning centres
  • build an important career network of colleagues and friends
